Autism Anglia’s Doucecroft School is a vibrant, dynamic and highly supportive independent day and boarding school for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition. Our school provides a bespoke, individualised education to children and young people with an autistic spectrum condition and has a proven track record of dramatically raising the outcomes for the students who have completed their education with us.  

Our school has a multidisciplinary approach at the heart of achieving outcomes for children and young people, with specialist therapists and professionals providing expertise in addition to the highly skilled education team. All staff within the school are committed to striving towards outstanding, led by an enthusiastic and dynamic senior management team.

Doucecroft School is an expanding school and we are looking for committed and excellent classroom practitioners. We are looking for someone to work within our 14 – 19 department, that is highly skilled in preparing students for the next stage of their life and ensuring that they achieve the excellent outcomes that they deserve.

The ideal candidate will:

  • be passionate about ensuring the best outcomes as our students transition through to adulthood
  • be a reflective practitioner
  • be creative in the delivery of the curriculum, enabling all students to overcome barriers to learning
  • be able to work collaboratively to secure the best outcomes for all students
  • have an understanding of behaviour management strategies to support pupils
  • be an excellent classroom manager, able to effectively lead a team of learning support assistants
