The aim is to support children and young people (aged 0-25) and their families based in North-East Essex to navigate the Neurodevelopmental Disorder (NDD) pathway. We can also help to prevent you reaching a crisis point. A confirmed diagnosis is not needed and we can offer this service, if appropriate, either via a self-referral, or signposted by a service practitioner or community partner.
As an organisation, we don't believe 'disorder' is the right term to use, because it implies there is something wrong. We therefore prefer the term 'condition'.
Another focus is to inform local organisations and the wider community about autism to reduce stigma and improve acceptance and understanding.
