Supported Living supports a range of abilities from high support needs who require 24 hours a day support on a 1:1 basis (sometimes with additional hours on top) to those who require one or two hours of support a day or week.

Every Supported Living service is within the community and is either a housing association property, privately rented or owned by Autism Anglia. Services range from two – four adults in one property to those who prefer to live alone. Currently all our Supported Living homes are in Colchester, however, this does not mean new services cannot be opened in other areas, we are looking to expand into Norfolk.

Due to benefits, individuals do need to be 18 years of age and over to qualify for Supported Living.

Supported Living Vacancy 1

  • Vacancies for a female or male with diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Condition.
  • 3-bedroom semi-detached house in a quiet cul-de-sac in Colchester, great bus links into town. Walking distance of local amenities.
  • The home can be staffed 24 hours a day and include a sleep-in staff member.
  • There is wheelchair access to the property.
  • There is a good size lounge/dining room with French doors going out into the garden. A converted garage which contains a bedroom and en-suite shower on the ground floor. With two further bedrooms and a communal bathroom and a separate toilet on the first floor.
  • The home has a nice size back garden with lawn and patio area, there is plenty of parking
  • There is a private driveway with a nice lawn space alongside it
  • The home is a housing association let

Supported Living Vacancy 2

  • Vacancy for a male or female with a diagnosis of High Functioning Autism.
  • 3 bedroom mid-terrace townhouse in Colchester close to public transport and town centre.
  • The home is currently staffed around the needs of the adults who live there consisting of some 1-1 support hours and core hours. This service is not currently staffed 24 hours a day and has no night support.
  • Not suitable for wheelchairs.
  • The vacant bedroom is on the ground floor with a communal toilet and shower cubicle. There is a communal lounge and kitchen/dining area on the first floor. On the second floor, there are two further bedrooms which are occupied and another communal toilet and shower cubicle.   
  • There is a small driveway and on-road parking and a small courtyard garden at the back of the property.
  • The home is private let.
