Autism Anglia’s Doucecroft School in Colchester has put on a variety of activities in careers week. A chance for all our students to find out more about different careers and industries.

The aim of this week is to highlight the changing job market and work opportunities young people might have in the future.

Today’s theme is agriculture and Colchester Young Farmers have visited and bought along farming machinery including tractors, sprayers, and a quad bike. Students have also enjoyed petting livestock as well as using an apple press and bread mill.

Louise Parkinson, headteacher said:

We aim for our curriculum to be irresistible. This is certainly getting the wow factor from our pupils! We are very grateful to Colchester Young Farmers who have been wonderful in sharing their knowledge with our students.
