Please contact Anna Rogers in our fundraising team to discuss this scheme in more detail - or if you're ready to go, you can call Goody Burrett LLP directly at the Colchester office on 01206 577676 to make your appointment, bringing the completed pledge form with you at your first appointment.

Terms & Conditions of the Offer

  1. Your donation to Autism Anglia:
By signing the form you pledge to make the stated donation in return for your Will(s) to be drawn up free of charge by Goody Burrett LLP. You will agree to be contacted by Autism Anglia on completion of your Will(s) and to make prompt payment by form of a cheque, cash, bank transfer or card payment to the charity.
  2. The role of this pledge form:
The completed form will be taken by you to your Solicitor at the time of your first appointment. It will be retained by your Solicitor until the Will process is complete. At the end of the matter, GoodyBurrett will send a copy of this pledge form to you along with a copy of your Will as a reminder of your commitment to donate to Autism Anglia. Autism Anglia will also be notified and will contact you directly to take payment. GoodyBurrett will not take payment on behalf of Autism Anglia or charge for their services unless as stated below in clause 4.
  3. The Solicitors Role:
Your Solicitor will draw up your Will according to your instructions, in line with the relevant codes and regulations governing Solicitors. They will act in your interest but are free to advise you impartially. They will keep your instructions confidential except where you have authorised disclosure of certain information on the Confidential Declaration Form.  Whilst we hope that you may consider leaving a gift to Autism Anglia in your Will, the charity does not impose any restriction or requirement whatsoever as to the contents of the Will that is prepared for you.
  4. Type of Will:
A Simple Single Will is for one person (suggested donation £120). A Simple Mirror Will is a standard Will for a couple (married or not) which simply mirrors each other’s (suggested donation £190).  Should the Solicitor find, during the drawing up of the Will(s), that your affairs are more complex, and you need tax planning advice or inclusion of Trusts for example, then there will be an additional fixed fee payable directly to GoodyBurrett. The Solicitor will make you aware of this at the outset of your matter.  The simple Will(s) element is always free.
  5. The Will process:
Your Solicitor will meet with you at the first appointment and based on your instructions, will then provide you with a draft copy of your Will(s) for you to consider before you finalise matters at your Will signing meeting. Once you are happy with your draft, your Will is ready to be signed and witnessed and an appointment can be arranged to do so.

Thank you to GoodyBurrett LLP for organising this generous service in Colchester. We hope to offer similar schemes in other regions in due course.
