Whitstone House in Dereham is home to eight adults with autism and is in need of redecoration and repairs to its internal environment to bring the building up to the standards we require for the people that live there.

Communal areas need re-plastering and painting, carpets and bathroom flooring need replacing, repairs to woodwork, new furniture, soft furnishings and blinds are required and ideally dimmable lighting installed to support regulation and sensory needs of the people we support.

Improved living conditions at Whitstone will create an updated and more autism-friendly environment for the residentsAcoustics in many rooms will be improved with new flooring and soft furnishings; blinds and dimmable lighting will aid those hypersensitive to light; new furniture will utilise space more effectively and repairs will make the house safer and nicer for residents.

We are applying to grant making trusts to help us reach our total and seeking donations of paint and furniture to help reduce our costs where possible.  We are also reaching out to volunteers to help complete any of the work to save costs on tradespeople.

Please make a donation to this project or if you can help support us in any other way we would love to hear from you...
