Why Challenge Events Like Snowdon Matter – And Could You Take One On?
25th June 2026
What a difference a couple of weeks makes! While many of us are now enjoying a summer heatwave, earlier this month our incredible Snowdon trekkers were battling very different conditions on the mountain.
39 dedicated supporters took on Snowdon for Autism Anglia, some joining our organised night trek and others completing the challenge in their own time, all braving the elements.
Whether trekking through the early hours or taking on the mountain by day, it was far from easy. But step by step, they kept going, pushing through the conditions, and ultimately reaching the summit.
And it was all for a powerful reason.
Turning Challenge Into Impact
Thanks to their determination, our trekkers have raised an incredible £18,858 (and counting!) for Autism Anglia.
Every pound raised helps us continue to support autistic people and their families across East Anglia through specialist services, opportunities for independence and vital community support.
But events like the Snowdon challenge aren’t just about reaching the top.
They’re about building connection, raising awareness, and creating real, lasting impact, all while bringing people together to take on a shared challenge and push beyond their comfort zones.
Could You Take On the Next Challenge?
Seeing what this group has achieved, one thing is clear: ordinary people can do extraordinary things, with the right support and a great cause behind them.
So, could you take on Snowdon next time? Or perhaps another challenge event?
Whether you’re looking to tick something off your bucket list, challenge yourself physically, or simply make a difference, this is your chance to do something amazing for autism. We’d love to have you involved.
