After you have protected those most important to you, please consider remembering Autism Anglia as well. Making a Will is something we all have to face eventually to ensure our wishes are carried out when we are gone. A Will is important as it determines who and what you leave to those closest to you. Once you have ensured that they have been looked after, a small gift to charity can ensure that something continues in your memory. Autism Anglia has been by the side of autistic people for 50 years and donations have been instrumental in allowing us to provide this support. We want to do even more over the next 50 years. Our vision is of creating a society where autistic people are valued and enriched, as well as being able to continue providing our vital core services. One way you can help us achieve this is by leaving a gift to Autism Anglia in your Will. A gift, regardless of its size, really will make a difference for people with autism and allow us to continue our vital work far into the future. Leaving a gift to charity can also help to reduce the Inheritance Tax paid on your estate. Visit www.gov.uk/inheritance-tax for more information What types of gift can I leave? Leaving just 1% of your estate to Autism Anglia in your Will means that you can continue to support autistic people for generations to come. A fixed sum of money. This is known as a pecuniary gift. A percentage of your estate’s value. This is known as a residuary gift. This can be as little as 1% meaning that those most important to you are left the remaining 99%. Even 1% would make a huge difference and allow us to provide support far into the future. A specific gift. This could be an item such as jewellery, furniture, artwork or property.
