Nick Hodgetts

I have been a business owner and Independent Financial Advisor since 2001. I come from an RAF family and my wife is Suffolk born and bred, we met at school and have been together ever since. We have three children and five grandchildren – family is the most important aspect of my life and we are lucky that they all live close by. I also love food and wine, films, reading, holidays and motorbikes. I try to cycle every week to keep vaguely fit (failing!) and I’m a Spurs fan (also failing!)

As a business owner and trusted adviser to my clients I am conscious of the imperative to “do the right thing”. I know that profit is not the only bottom line but also that every organisation must be financially stable and successful – we are no good to anyone if we go bust! I aim to do something, not just be something.

I first became a Trustee for Autism Anglia just before the Covid lockdown but have since been to get out to visit the school and some of our homes and meet the people we support. I have also had the pleasure and privilege of meeting many of our fantastic staff whose dedication is endlessly impressive.

As a Trustee, I aim to help ensure we maintain a viable and efficient business model as well as continually achieving the challenging standards for care we and others set. I am very conscious of the responsibility in ensuring we are best prepared for the next 50 years of our history.
