Please complete the following form and we will be in touch.

I have my own place

What happens if I do not raise the £265 fundraising target?
The fundraising team will work with you to help you raise your target. If you are struggling, we can talk about your options. All situations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
The registration fee is non-refundable

Can I transfer my place to someone else?
Unfortunately, you are unable to transfer your place. All our participants need to register their details with us

Is the event chip timed?
Yes! All our race packs include a timing chip that slots into your shoe laces, this will record your start and finish time to give you an accurate chip timed result.

Where can I find the official results? And will my time go on Power of 10?
All our results will show on https://www.runthrough.co.uk/results/ straight away.

You will also receive a post race email with your result in the week after the event.

The majority of race results will be shown on RunBritain and Power of 10.

What is the minimum age for this event?
10k- 15 years

I can no longer make the event, can I get a refund?
Unfortunately we operate a no refunds policy.

When will I be sent all the race details?
You should receive a race information email the Friday prior to the race. Please check your spam folders as they do sometimes get lost! The same information will also be published on the website the week leading up to the event, along with our entry list. If for any reason you do not receive the email, please check the website.

If you’ve entered 2 weeks prior to the race, your bib number and timing chip will be posted to you. You can expect to receive this in the week prior to the run. If for some reason it doesn’t arrive in time, please just visit the information desk on the morning of the race and we can issue you a replacement.

For those who’ve entered closer to the race date, you will be able to collect your race packs at the registration desks in the event village on the day.

Will there be a water station on the course?
Yes, we will have bottled water at  5k, please help yourself to this as you pass the water station. We will also have a bottle of water waiting for you at the finish line.

Is there anywhere to leave my bag during the race?
We will have an informal baggage drop for this event. Please limit the number of belongings you bring to the event and if possible leave anything in a car. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach this to your bag. To collect, show your number to the baggage marshals and they will help you find your bag.

Am I allowed to wear headphones?
We strongly advise against wearing headphones, but we don’t have any bans on them. If you do choose to wear headphones we recommend keeping the volume low and 1 ear out so you can hear instructions from our marshals.

If you choose to wear headphones then please ensure you are fully aware of the course details to avoid confusion at specific points.

What is the terrain like?
This single 10k loop is a fully road closed event. With one of the most unique start lines in the UK, the race both starts and finishes within the Zoo itself. The first and last kilometres are within the grounds of Colchester zoo, with the route navigating you past Elephants, Tigers and Hyenas to name a few. The remainder of the course is made up of fully closed country roads which offer a picturesque run through the Essex countryside. The course is undulating with the main hills appearing at 0.8km, 1.8km and 8.8km. Despite the hills there is plenty of flat with some brilliant downhill sections too, all in all a course that’s definitely worth giving a go!

We do allow buggy and wheelchair racing, however due to the twisty nature of the course, this may be challenging for those less experienced.

Where can I find the race photos?
All your race photos will be available by the end of the day on our photos page. You will also receive a link to these in your post race email.

When will I get the t-shirt I ordered with my entry?
You will receive a bespoke Autism Anglia running vest closer to the time of the event.

Where should I park for the event?
Set your Sat Nav for CO3 0SL to to take you to the Zoo’s main car park. Car parking is free and disabled car parking spaces are available close to the zoo entrance. NB Blue badges must be displayed to use the disabled parking area.

Are dogs allowed at the event?
Sadly dogs are not permitted in the zoo or the event village, this applies to both spectators and runners alike.

Can I bring Spectators?
Yes, spectators are more than welcome! You can watch many sections of the race from the event village and roads outside of the zoo for free. However, if you’d like to enter the zoo you will require a spectator ticket. Colchester Zoo has reserved a limited number of tickets for friends & family of the runners to visit Colchester Zoo on the day of the race & these will be available to purchase HERE closer to the event date.
