For many families, navigating autism and ADHD can feel like stepping into the unknown. Questions can seem endless, the right support can feel difficult to find, and the future can feel uncertain.

For Sophie and her family, that journey was all too familiar.

Today, however, Sophie’s story is inspiring a new corporate partnership that will help more autistic children, young people, and families access the support they need to thrive.

We’re is delighted to welcome Beyond Recruitment as an official charity partner, supporting the charity’s Community Connect and Youth Connect services across the region.

A Journey Many Families Will Recognise

Like many families navigating autism, Sophie and her family faced challenges when trying to find the right support, guidance, and educational opportunities.

The search for answers can often feel overwhelming. Understanding what support is available, knowing where to turn for advice, and finding people who truly understand can make all the difference.

Through our Community Connect service, Sophie’s family found practical guidance, reassurance, and a supportive team who helped them navigate the next steps.

Community Connect was created to provide exactly that kind of support. The service offers friendly, one-to-one guidance for autistic young people and their families, helping them access information, understand their options, and feel less alone during difficult periods.

For Sophie and her family, that support became a turning point.

Looking To The Future

Today, Sophie is preparing to begin an exciting new chapter as she starts sixth form, where she will study Sociology, Criminology, and Art.

Looking back on how far she has come, Sophie reflects on the impact that support and understanding have had on her outlook for the future.

“…I didn’t really have a future back then. But now I do.”

Those words capture the profound difference the right support can make and they also sit at the heart of this new partnership.

Because while Sophie’s future now feels full of possibilities, many families are still searching for the guidance and reassurance that helped her move forward with confidence.

Turning Personal Experience into Positive Change

The new corporate partnership between Beyond Recruitment and Autism Anglia has been inspired by Sophie’s journey and the experiences her family encountered along the way.

For Iain Jones, Co-Founder and Director of Beyond Recruitment, supporting Autism Anglia was never simply about selecting a charity partner. It was about helping ensure other families can access the same opportunities and encouragement that made such a difference to his daughter.

“This partnership means a great deal to us personally. Recruitment is often about helping people find the right environment to succeed, and we believe that same idea reaches far beyond the workplace. With the right support, understanding and encouragement, young people can begin to see a future that feels possible.

The reason this matters so much comes from personal experience. Having a daughter with autism has shown first-hand how difficult it can be to find the right answers, the right support, and the right educational environment.

Through Autism Anglia, Beyond Recruitment hopes to help more children, young people and families access the support they need, both through education and beyond it, so they can feel understood, encouraged, and able to fulfil their potential.”

Supporting Community Connect and Youth Connect

As part of this new partnership, Beyond Recruitment will support two important Autism Anglia services:

Community Connect

Community Connect offers practical advice, guidance, and support for young people and families navigating autism and ADHD. The service helps people access information, understand available support, and feel connected to a wider community.

Youth Connect

Youth Connect provides a youth club-style space for autistic young people where they have opportunities to build confidence, develop friendships, try new activities, and feel part of a supportive community where they can be themselves.

Together, these services help young people and families feel understood, connected, and empowered.

More Than Fundraising

For Beyond Recruitment Co-Founder Andy Dowsett, the partnership is about much more than raising money.

“Choosing Autism Anglia as our first charity partner was a natural decision. We wanted to support a regional charity making a real difference in the communities we serve, but it was equally important that the partnership had a genuine personal connection for us.

Fundraising is important, but this partnership is about much more than raising money. We want to help raise awareness of autism and the challenges many families face, while supporting the incredible work Autism Anglia does every day.”

That shared commitment to raising awareness, strengthening communities, and improving access to support is what makes the partnership so meaningful.

For Autism Anglia, stories like Sophie’s demonstrate why services such as Community Connect and Youth Connect are so important.
