During last month’s Autism Acceptance Month, we proudly celebrated the fantastic team‑led fundraising effort from Trinity London Care, bringing together staff and the people they support in a joyful, inclusive campaign for Autism Anglia.

Inspired by the individuals they work alongside every day, the team chose to fundraise not only to raise vital funds, but to create opportunities for everyone to get involved, connect and be celebrated.

“We’re inspired every day by the people we support. Autism Acceptance Month felt like the perfect time to celebrate them while also raising awareness and giving back to an organisation that shares our values. Autism Anglia does incredible work supporting autistic people and their families, and we wanted to be part of that impact beyond our day‑to‑day roles.”

At the heart of Trinity London Care’s fundraising was a strong sense of collaboration. While Manager Harry and Senior Leonni recently took on a skydive from 15,000 feet to support the cause, the real focus was on making sure the people they support could play an active role in shaping and leading the fundraising.

Service users were involved in a wide range of sponsored activities, from bowling, swimming, walking and cycling to creative sessions such as art, colouring and pottery. There were also plenty of shared, feel‑good moments through singing, dancing, cupcake making and trampolining, ensuring the fundraising was accessible, enjoyable and meaningful for everyone involved.

What stood out most was the sense of togetherness created through these activities.

“Getting everyone involved has made it more than just fundraising, it’s felt like something we’re all part of together. There’s been so much joy, laughter, and genuine connection. Seeing people fully engaged, joining in activities, and expressing themselves so freely has been a real highlight. Those moments of happiness and pride are what stand out the most.”

The funds raised will help Autism Anglia continue providing vital services, opportunities and support for autistic people and their families across the region. But just as importantly, this fundraising showed what can be achieved when inclusion and collaboration are placed at the centre.

When asked what they would say to others thinking about supporting Autism Anglia, the team’s message was clear:

“I’d say go for it. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a real difference. You’re helping to create more support, more opportunities, and greater understanding for autistic people. Fundraising also brings people together in such a positive way—it’s something you can feel proud to be part of.”

From everyone at Autism Anglia, a heartfelt thank you to Trinity London Care, the people they support, and their families for making this fundraising campaign so special. The creativity, joy and sense of togetherness shown throughout truly captured the spirit of autism acceptance and inclusion.
