Imagine standing at the summit of Wales’ highest peak, Yr Wyddfa, as the first rays of sunlight break over the horizon, painting the sky in breathtaking shades of pink and gold.

New to 2026, our Snowdon Sunrise Trek is more than just a hike, it’s an unforgettable adventure that combines challenge, camaraderie, and awe-inspiring beauty.

Guided by experienced leaders, you’ll ascend under a blanket of stars and witness a sunrise that will stay with you forever.

The Challenge

Experience the quiet majesty of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) at dawn on this unforgettable guided sunrise walk – and make every step count for autism.

Rising to 1,085 metres, Yr Wyddfa is the highest peak in Wales and reaching its summit is no small feat, especially as much of the ascent will take place in the dark. But you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll be part of a united team of like-minded supporters, all coming together with a shared purpose: to do something truly amazing for autism.

Who you’ll be supporting

Leanne’s Story

“The support from Autism Anglia has transformed all our lives.”

“The moment they contacted us was the first time we felt someone had really noticed us and wanted to help.”

“We now know why Lennon behaves the way she does. It’s helped her understand why she struggles sometimes, when other children don’t.”

“Thanks to Autism Anglia’s help, we’re optimistic about the future and feel much better placed to support Lennon, and each other. But most of all, we don’t feel invisible anymore.”

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

We will meet our tour guide in Llanberis at 00:30 (Sunday morning) and take the Llanberis Path up Snowdon – aiming to be at the Summit at 4.40am to greet the dawn.

We will aim to take the newly improved path from the village of Llanberis through Bwlch Maesgwm to join the top half of The Ranger Path. We always aim to return via the Llanberis Path which will bring you back to the village where you started the day.

There is always a chance that route choices may change on the day, depending on the weather and the judgement of your Mountain Leader, who will always put the group’s safety as a top priority.

We will depart Snowdon Summit at 5am and estimate arriving back into Llanberis by 8.30am

Accommodation is not included in the cost of the trip, however there are loads of B&B’s, Guesthouses and Hotels in the area (we can provide you with a list).  If you are not intending to stay overnight afterwards – please ensure someone else is able to drive you home as you will be tired!

If you’re hoping to climb Wales’ highest peak comfortably (and be able to walk the next day!), then you will need a reasonable level of fitness. There will be steep and uneven terrain with exposed areas, be sure to do some research on the route you plan to take so you’ll know what to expect. We guide people of all ages up Yr Wyddfa, but unless you exercise regularly, your muscles may feel a bit sore over the two days following your event.

No, £350 is a recommended amout to raise for this challenge. All we ask is that you try to raise what you can and only fundraise for Autism Anglia.
