Autism Anglia’s Doucecroft School is a vibrant, dynamic and highly supportive independent day and boarding school for children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition.

Our school provides a bespoke, individualised education to children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition and has a proven track record of dramatically raising the outcomes for the students who have completed their education with us.

Our school has multidisciplinary working at the heart of achieving outcomes for children and young people, with specialist therapists and professionals providing expertise in addition to the highly skilled education team.. Experience:

  • Qualification in Teaching, eg BEd, PGCE – essential
  • Qualification/training in special education – essential
  • Knowledge of S.E.N. and assessment across both P levels and National Curriculum levels - essential
  • Relevant experience working with students with autism or learning disabilities in an educational setting – essential
  • Training in the management of challenging behaviour - essential
  • Experience working with students across the ability range and autistic spectrum - desirable
  • Experience managing a team of learning support assistants
