Salary: £9.10 per hour – term time only + training days

Hours: Part time – 7.5 hours a week (Tuesday 4.30-6pm; Wednesday 9am-3pm though some flexibility may be required)

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established regional charity.  Autism Anglia provides ongoing training and supervision, continuing professional development and support as well as an extensive induction on commencement of employment.

You will be responsible for transporting pupils to their home from ‘after school clubs’ and any activities as well as driving pupils and staff to various external activities and venues within the school day.

Your main duties will include:

  • Drop pupils at designated points on our minibus routes in the evening, as detailed on the information provided by staff
  • Cleaning interior / exterior of vehicles as required
  • Checking oil and fluid levels, fuel filling, changing light bulbs, checking tyre pressure and other routine checks and light maintenance of various school vehicles
  • Carrying out other transport related duties as directed by staff, site manager or SLT.

Experience:

  • Hold a full Driving License and confident in driving MPV or school minibus vehicles
  • Undertake any internal driving or training sessions as appropriate by Site Manager or SLT
  • Must be fit to drive
  • Ideally experience of driving in a similar school setting
  • Experience of working in an SEN or Autistic environment would be advantageous
