Salary:  £19,432

Additional payment will be made for sleep in duties and enhanced rates of pay apply for weekend working

The role of Team Leader will include the day to day responsibility for running and ensuring delivery of a high quality, safe and person centred service.  You will provide daily support and promote the development of individuals we support using a holistic approach. 

You will be an integral part of the management team, playing a key role in ensuring the effective recruitment, induction, supervision and training of staff.  

Your main duties will include:

  • Leading the staff team and allocating duties to ensure that all service users have their needs fully met.
  • Day to day responsibility for the running of the service, supporting staff members and promoting open and effective communication.
  • Prepare written reports (as required) and attend multi-disciplinary team meetings i.e. Annual Review Meetings, Person-Centered Planning Meetings and Best Interest meetings.
  • Manage a supportive partnership with the service user’s families, advocates, significant others and external bodies to support a positive image of Autism Anglia and the work we carry out.
  • Work with other staff to key work our service users, promoting independence and advocating on their behalf if required. 

Experience required:

  • Experience of working within adult health and social care services
  • Experience of working with individuals with an autistic spectrum condition
  • Experience of the supervision and development of staff
  • Ability to make decisions, encourage, motivate and advocate for others 

It is desirable that the post holder should have a full driving licence.
