Autism Anglia is looking to evolve and enhance their IT support infrastructure with the appointment of a dynamic IT Assistant Manager.  Our ideal candidate will have several years of experience working in a broad IT support role and bring knowledge of desktop and server support, SQL databases and MS SharePoint.  Working as part of a small team, they will retain the technical support elements of the role, assisting the IT Manager by: 

  • Providing IT Support to all members of the Autism Anglia community, including directors, the staff team and the people we support.
  • Working through the troubleshooting process for IT faults, from 1st to 3rd  line.    
  • Purchase, installation and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
  • Providing support, guidance and training to staff on a range of IT matters including hardware issues and software including MS Windows, MS Office 2013/2016/365, Exchange and SharePoint Online, Access/SQL databases and web sites.
  • Supporting the organisation’s child and adult safeguarding processes, particularly where this relates to the internet.


  • Minimum 3 years experience in an IT Technical Support role (E)
  • Comprehensive understanding of MS Windows and MS Office (particularly Access, Excel, Outlook, Word) (E)
  • Good understanding of the structure and security models within SharePoint Online (E)
  • Good understanding of MS Server software (Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, RAS, VPN, IIS, etc.) (D)
  • Excellent communication skills (E)
