You will act as the Senior Assessor within the Internal Assessment Centre, to effectively assess, supervise, review and manage all relevant work associated with the requirements of the role. You will deliver a wide range of Health and Social Care qualifications, working in partnership with management and staff across Autism Anglia and external bodies as required, ensuring high standards are achieved and maintained with all learners. 

Your main duties will include:

  • To work with managers of Adult and School Services to ensure all work-based learning is undertaken and carried out effectively by the staff working in partnership to ensure learners achieve the expectations of the qualification.
  • To act as mentor for all other Assessors who work within the internal Assessment Centre to quality assure as required, ensuring their work expectations are in line with Organisational policy and up to date external best practice.
  • To have a proactive approach working closely with all other Assessors and Internal Verifiers to ensure all completed work is consistent, of a high standard and quality assured.
  • To ensure all candidates receive the required assessment time and support, as identified on their assessment plan and encourage them to work in accordance with the required timeframe.
  • To prepare, plan and attend standardization meetings, to take minutes of main discussion points and to follow up on any actions agreed. To report back to the Training Manager as required. 

Experience:

  • Highly experienced and proven knowledge of Health and Social Care qualifications and practices - Essential
  • Experience of overseeing and supervising learners whilst undertaking qualifications - Essential
  • Good knowledge and awareness of Autism - Essential
  • Knowledge of child and adult safeguarding procedures – Essential
  • In-depth knowledge of minimum requirements for staff in
    both Adult and Children’s Services (OFSTED, CQC) - Essential
