Location: Colchester, Essex 

Salary:  £37,570- £38,765 (pro-rata for part time), subject to experience (Band 7) 

Hours: Part time, full time and job share will be considered. 42 weeks per year  

We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our friendly team. You will be a key member of Autism Anglia’s Multi-Disciplinary Team (Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Positive Behaviour Support) to provide a clinical service to children and adults with autism within both the School and Adult Services.  Within this role, you will be required to develop psychological formulations based on assessment and the evidence base to inform person-centred intervention, consultation and training within the Charity. 

Autism Anglia has also recently launched it’s own Diagnostic Service based within the Doucecroft School at the Diagnostic Suite managed by the Lead Clinical Psychologist. You will have the opportunity to be part of this exciting developing service either being part of the diagnostic assessment (if you already have training in ADOS 2/ADI-R/DISCO), post diagnostic support or having the opportunity to further your professional development and training in autism diagnostic assessment. 

To excel in this role you will have the ability to establish effective working relationships, work collaboratively and have a commitment to developing your own and others knowledge and understanding of autism.  You will be managing your own caseload, working autonomously, and will need to be confident in managing your time under the supervision of the Lead Clinical Psychologist. 

You will have a recognised Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology and registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.  Experience of working with people with autism and/or learning disability is essential. Experience of diagnosing autism spectrum disorders is desirable.
