Salary: Pro-rata to £16,231

Part Time: 21 hours per week (over 39 weeks per annum plus 3 days during the school holidays)

An opportunity has become available to work as a Senior Learning Support Assistant within the Positive Behaviour Team based within the school at Eight Ash Green, Colchester.

The Senior Learning Support Assistants play a key role in the school’s positive behaviour management procedures and processes, ensuring consistency in approach and timely interventions, where appropriate. They ensure students’ management plans are being followed and updated, when necessary, liaising with the relevant members of staff. 

Our ideal candidate will be a great team player and have the following experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching & Learning – essential
  • Experience in the field of autism or special educational needs – essential
  • Experience of working with people who exhibit challenging behaviour – essential
  • Ability to organise, manage, motivate and train a team of learning support assistants – essential
  • Ability to work closely and effectively with students, parents, carers, staff and other professionals – essential
