Salary:                           £8.92 - £9.10 per hour

Enhancements:         

Weekend                        £11.15 - £11.38 per hour,

Bank Holidays                £13.38 - £13.65 per hour, and

Christmas / New Year   £17.84 - £18.20 per hour

Sleep in Allowance:       £70.47 per night

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established charity.  Autism Anglia provides ongoing training and supervision, continuing professional development and support as well as an extensive induction on commencement of employment.

Your main role will be to support a young man in accessing his community hours. In physical activities such as walking, swimming, shopping and general socialising in the wider community. Including planning and attending person-centred annual holidays and days out.

You will provide support to people who are within the autistic spectrum, being alert and responsive to the needs of the people we support and the needs of your fellow colleagues.

You will need to recognise the aspirations of, and work towards enabling, the people we support and help them to achieve their own personal life plan, through person-centred planning.  This will include being actively involved in empowering them to make individual choices with regard to their everyday living. 

Your main duties will include:

  • Personalising activates to suit and benefit the person you will support
  • Delivering a high standard of care and support
  • Communicating effectively
  • Driving out to locations to ensure personalised activities can be fulfilled

Experience:

  • Someone with experience in Autism.
  • Someone with experience in intensive support preferred.
  • Someone experienced with activity co-ordination.
  • Good communication skills with PWS and staff

It is essential that the successful applicant holds a full driving license.
