Location:        Doucecroft School, Eight Ash Green, Colchester

Salary:            £9.10 per hour

Hours:             Full Time, up to 40 hours per week, flexible to include evenings and       weekends

As a member of the residential staff at Doucecroft School, you will need to be flexible, positive, energetic and an enthusiastic individual, who works well as part of a team.

Your main duties will include:

  • Supporting young people with autism whilst encouraging and developing their individual life skills. This includes supporting young people with their personal care.
  • To provide a high quality of care and contribute to the smooth day to day running of the residential house
  • Ensuring safety and well-being and the quality of support given meets and identified the needs of the individual young person.

Experience:

  • Experience and knowledge of working in child care, or residential care
  • Experience with emotional and physically challenging situations and behaviours
  • Good communication skills.
