Location: Colchester, Essex 

Salary:  £37,570 - £44,606 (pro rata), subject to experience (Band 7/8a) 

Hours:  21- 35 hours per week, 42 weeks per year

Length of Contract: Fixed term contract of 18 months, for maternity cover, with potential to extend. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified or experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our friendly team. This will be a for a fixed term of 18 months, with potential to extend, to cover our Clinical Psychologist, whilst she is on maternity leave.

You will be a key member of Autism Anglia’s Multi-Disciplinary Team (Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychology) both within our Diagnostic Service and School and Adult Services.

Within this role, you will be a key part of Autism Anglia’s Diagnostic Service, offering autism assessments to children and adults within an MDT, post diagnostic support and service development. You will also be required to develop psychological formulations based on assessment and the evidence base to inform person-centred intervention, consultation and training within our services.

To excel in this role you will have the ability to establish effective working relationships, work collaboratively and have a commitment to developing your own and others knowledge and understanding of autism.  You will be managing your own caseload, working autonomously, and will need to be confident in managing your time under the Lead Therapist.

You will have a recognised Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology and registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC.  Experience of working with people with autism and/or learning disability is essential and experience of autism diagnosis, using gold standard tools, such as the ADI-R and ADOS 2 is desirable.
