Looking for a fun, inclusive challenge to keep young people active this summer while making a real difference in your community?
We’re inviting sports teams, youth groups, activity clubs, Scouts, Guides, and community organisations across East Anglia to get involved in The Big Summer Stomp for Autism, a flexible fundraising challenge that can easily fit around your existing activities.
Whether you’re a football team preparing for the new season, a cricket club running summer sessions, or a youth group planning holiday activities, The Big Summer Stomp for Autism is a fantastic way to combine movement, teamwork, and fundraising for a great cause.
And what is more, every step taken will help support autistic people and their families across the region.
One of the best things about The Big Summer Stomp for Autism is its flexibility.
There are no complicated rules, fixed routes, or strict schedules. All we ask is that participants complete 5K their way while raising funds to support autistic people and families across East Anglia.
The challenge can be built into activities you’re already planning.
You could, for example:
⚽ Add an extra lap or two to football training
🏏 Complete the distance across a series of cricket practice sessions
🏉 Include a team walk or warm-up run before training
🚴 Organise a group cycle ride
🏃 Walk or jog to and from club sessions
🏕️ Make it part of a summer camp, Scout, Guide, or youth group activity
By spreading the challenge across multiple sessions, your young people can work together towards a shared goal while having fun along the way.
Summer activities like this are about more than just keeping active. They help young people build confidence, strengthen friendships, and feel part of something bigger.
By taking part in The Big Summer Stomp for Autism, clubs and groups can also help tackle a challenge faced by many autistic people and their families: loneliness and isolation.
Through Autism Anglia’s services, families can access guidance, reassurance, practical advice, and opportunities for connection during some of the most challenging periods of their lives.
Funds raised through The Big Summer Stomp for Autism help us continue providing:
And the great thing is, every participant helps make that possible.
The Big Summer Stomp for Autism has been designed to be accessible and enjoyable for children of all ages and abilities.
When teams and groups sign up, participants receive a FREE fundraising pack, including a special Stomp Map.

As children complete sections of their 5K challenge, they can colour in the map and track their progress along the way. It’s a simple but rewarding way to keep young people motivated and engaged throughout the challenge.
Clubs discover that the Stomp Map helps turn fundraising into a shared adventure, encouraging teamwork and celebrating every milestone.
What’s a challenge without a reward, right?
Of course! Once participants have completed their 5K and finished colouring in their Stomp Map, they can send it to Autism Anglia and receive:
🎖️ A commemorative medal
📜 A certificate celebrating their achievement
It’s a fantastic way to recognise every young person’s effort while giving them something tangible to remember their challenge.

One of the most inspiring aspects of fundraising is how it brings people together.
When teams, clubs, and youth groups take part in The Big Summer Stomp, they’re not just raising money, they’re raising awareness, encouraging conversations about autism, and showing support for families within their communities.
For many young people, it can also be their first experience of fundraising and community action, helping them understand how small actions can make a big difference.
Whether you’re a grassroots sports club, a youth organisation, or a community group, taking part is a brilliant opportunity to strengthen team spirit while supporting an important local cause.
This summer, why not challenge your team to do something active, meaningful, and memorable?
By taking on The Big Summer Stomp for Autism together, you’ll be helping autistic people and their families access the support, understanding, and opportunities they deserve.
Get active, have fun, support your community and make a difference. Together. 🙌
