We’re pleased to share that we have expanded our supported living portfolio in the Braintree area with the announcement of a new, modern supported living property.

The property will provide four individual homes for autistic adults, supported by our skilled autism support workers. Designed to promote independence, choice and wellbeing, the setting includes private bathrooms, shared living spaces, and access to a calm outdoor garden.

This development forms a key part of our commitment to grow high-quality supported living provision, responding to increasing demand and ensuring more autistic people have access to homes that support them to live fulfilling lives.

Gary Booker, Director of Adult Services said:

“This expansion is something we’re extremely proud of. It means four more people will have a place they can truly call home. A place where they are supported with dignity, care, and comfort, and empowered to live their lives in a way that matters to them.”

James McQuiggan, Chief Executive Officer said:

“This is an exciting time to be able to support more individuals within the community and to widen our reach. This expansion forms a key part of Autism Anglia’s 2025–2028 strategy.  Over the next three years, we aim to double the number of people we support from 1,500 to 3,000, ensuring more individuals and families can access services that meet their needs.

While this is a challenging time with limited funding available, it is important that we do not lose sight of those within our communities who need support. This expansion reflects our continued commitment to the people we serve.”
