Salary: £21,089- £23, 761 (pro rata) subject to experience

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our friendly team at Doucecroft School.

You will be a key member of Autism Anglia’s Multi-Disciplinary Team (Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychology) within School Services.

The role will involve direct and indirect work, supporting teaching staff and developing/providing training across the school. Weekly supervision from a Clinical Psychologist and appropriate training will be provided. The post holder will make full use of regular supervision with the Clinical Psychologist to ensure they work within the boundaries of the role and agreed responsibilities.

Your main duties will include:

  • Psychological assessment of students, both directly and indirectly under direct supervision.
  • Delivering evidence-based interventions under direct supervision.
  • To receive and follow up requests for information, advice and guidance from staff under the guidance and supervision of the Clinical Psychologist.
  • To obtain feedback from students, staff and colleagues on the usefulness of your work.
  • To attend meetings, take notes and contribute specific updates and information as required.


  • A Psychology degree with basis for graduate registration with the British Psychology Society (E)
  • Experience of working with people with autism spectrum conditions or associated disabilities (E)
  • Experience working with staff, families and individuals (E)
  • Experience of assessment, the collation of data, report writing and collective decision-making (D)
