Support Us Coronavirus Appeal Donate Fundraise Like many other charities and service providers, Autism Anglia is being greatly affected by the challenges presented by the Coronavirus.Doucecroft School remains open to support the children whose parents have chosen to send them, and we are still providing 24 hour care and support to the adults in our houses. As ever, our staff and managers are showing extraordinary dedication to do everything they can to keep homes and services running, working around the clock to ensure that we can keep vulnerable people safe and well. Quite rightly there is a significant focus on health services but it is important for people to understand that school and support staff work through the day and night to ensure that the students and adults with autism we support, often with complex needs, are able to keep attending school or live safely in their homes. We are currently spending over £12,000 each month on providing PPE in line with Government advice to keep the people we support and our staff safe and well. The Coronavirus has greatly impacted on both ours and other people's planned fundraising activities for the year, and yet new financial pressures are being felt across all our services. The cost of providing protective clothing and cleaning products, new equipment to allow us to work remotely and of course overtime and agency costs to ensure all shifts are covered. We please ask that if you can, you might consider making a donation or setting up a monthly amount to help us carry on supporting autistic people in these extraordinary times. We would like to thank every one of our incredible staff for everything they are doing at this current time.
