Our Supported Living service supports a range of autistic people with different needs; from those with high support needs who may require 24-hour support, on a one-to-one basis (sometimes with additional hours on top), to those who require one or two hours of support per day or week.

Our Supported Living services are there to help autistic people to live as independently as possible and to feel supported in a person-centered way. We work together to enable access to the wider community and to feel like a valued citizen. We nurture and develop strengths and abilities and work together to achieve individual goals and aspirations.

Each person is supported by dedicated, caring support staff who receive ongoing and relevant autism-focused training. These staff are supported by a highly skilled and supportive management team. Within Supported Living, every person we support is made to feel valued and is treated with dignity and respect.

Every Supported Living service is located within the community and is either a housing association property, privately rented or owned by Autism Anglia. Services range from one to four adults per property, depending on suitability and need. Currently, all our Supported Living homes are in Colchester, however, this does not mean new services cannot be opened in other areas, and we are looking to expand into Norfolk.

We aim to enhance the lives of people with autism!

Due to benefits, individuals do need to be 18 years of age and over to qualify for Supported Living.
