Autism Anglia’s Clinical Psychology department is a
developing service which can offer input to our services
users in Essex and Norfolk.
The team consists of one Lead Clinical Psychologist
in Essex and one part-time Clinical Psychologist, one
part-time Associate Psychologist and one full-time
Assistant Psychologist in Norfolk. As well as completing
screening assessments of sensory perception and
behaviours, they accept referrals from staff for
specific consultations, individual assessments and
treatment as appropriate.
The team offers in-house training courses to staff
working for Autism Anglia on a range of issues, for
example Asperger Syndrome, sexuality and challenging
behaviour, and can deliver BILD (British Institute of
Learning Difficulties) training courses.
Our psychologists have affiliations with UEA
(University of East Anglia) and Essex University
Clinical Psychology Doctoral programmes and our Lead
Psychologist is an Honorary Research Associate of the
Learning Disabilities Research Group at Cambridge
University. We also provide a psychological service to
the RUGROOM at City College, Norwich.
